This scheme provides financial assistance to eligible registered drivers and conductors to support their maternity-related needs during childbirth.
Details
The “Motor Vehicle Driver-Conductor Welfare Scheme- Maternity Assistance” scheme has been launched by the Transport Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Under this scheme, financial support during childbirth is provided to eligible women drivers or the wives of registered male drivers and conductors to ensure income security during maternity and paternity periods.

• Financial assistance equivalent to 45 days of wages at the Collector Rate is provided to the registered woman driver or conductor.
• In case the registered beneficiary is male, financial assistance equivalent to 45 days of wages at the Collector Rate is provided to his wife.
• An additional amount equivalent to 15 days of wages at the Collector Rate is provided as paternity leave compensation to the father of the child.
• A cash assistance of ₹1,000 is provided towards delivery-related expenses under the Janani Suraksha Yojana.
Eligibility Criteria
