Description
The scheme "Education Loan Scheme" by the Haryana Women Development Corporation, Government of Haryana, aims to encourage women and girls from Haryana to pursue higher education at graduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral levels, both within the country and abroad, while reducing the interest burden on students and guardians. Through this scheme, financial assistance and a 5% interest subsidy per annum are provided to female students. The scheme is implemented by the Haryana Women Development Corporation. Objectives: 1. To encourage women/girls belong to Haryana State to pursue higher education at Graduate/Post Graduate/Doctoral/Post Doctoral level in the country and abroad. 1. To reduce the interest burden on the student / Guardian.

• Interest Subsidy: The Corporation will provide an interest subsidy of 5% per annum to the banks.
• Reduced Interest Burden: The scheme aims to reduce the interest burden on the student/guardian.
• Specific Interest Subsidy Condition: The Haryana Women Development Corporation (HWDC) will pay up to 5% interest subsidy on Education Loans to those female students who have availed the Education Loan from SBI Group and whose parents are employees of these banks and are being provided Education Loan at a lesser interest rate than the rate of interest for the general public. Hence, only the difference in interest of the subsidy will be paid by HWDC.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should be a Haryana domicile girl.
2. The applicant can be a child of a Haryana Government employee.
3. The applicant can pursue higher education, professional/technical diploma/graduate/postgraduate, doctoral/post-doctoral level in the country and abroad.
4. There are no preconditions for income.
5. There are no preconditions of caste.
6. There are no preconditions for religion.
7. The scheme is applicable for studies in India and abroad.
