Scheme Overview

The objective of this scheme is to strengthen the economic condition of minority Muslim abandoned/divorced women and make them self-dependent by providing financial assistance of ₹25,000/-.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should be a resident of Bihar.

The applicant should be a Muslim woman from a minority community.

The Muslim woman should fall under one of the following categories:

• Divorced

5

• Abandoned by her husband for more than 2 years

6

• Husband is completely mentally handicapped

7

The applicant's age should be between 18 and 50 years.

The applicant's annual family income should be less than ₹4,00,000/-.

The woman should not have remarried.

The benefits of this scheme are available only once in a lifetime.

Widow is not eligible for this scheme.

Benefits

Under this scheme, the state government provides financial assistance of ₹25,000/- to minority Muslim abandoned/divorced women to strengthen their economic condition and make them self-reliant.

**Note:** The grant amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank accounts through RTGS/DBT.
