Single woman" means a woman (aged 40 years or more), whose husband has been missing for the last seven years, who is unmarried, living separately from her husband or who is currently living with her parents. Family” means mother/father, adult/minor son, unmarried daughters whose name is registered with the applicant in the ration card and will come under the ambit of the family.

Benefits
• An assistance amount of ₹1,50,000/- will be given for the construction of the house.
Eligibility Criteria
1. A widow or a single woman should be a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh.
2. The single woman's age should be 40 years or above.
3. The applicant should not have a private residence or house in a dilapidated condition.
4. The applicant's annual family income from all sources does not exceed ₹3,00,000/-.
5. The applicant should have at least 02 Biswa of land registered in the revenue records for construction of house or in whose favor land has been made available by the government.
6. The applicant's family should not receive government assistance for the construction of a house, or the accommodation has not been approved under any other scheme.
7. The grant amount will be approved only once in 10 years provided that the house has not been destroyed due to a natural disaster.
