Scheme Overview

The Labor Department of Chhattisgarh started this scheme on March 4, 2010, under the "Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board" for female construction workers. Under the scheme registered female construction workers will receive benefits during pregnancy.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh.

The applicant should be a woman worker.

The applicant should be registered Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

The benefit will only be provided for only first two children.

The applicant should be registered as a construction worker 90 days in advance.

**Note:** In case of the death of the beneficiary female worker during delivery, the payment of the Assistance Scheme will be payable to her husband (full amount).

> A lump sum amount of ₹20,000/- will be provided to the registered female construction worker after the birth of the child.
