"Maatrtv, Shishu Evan Baalika Madad Yojana" is a initiative of Uttar Pradesh state Government to provide the financial assistance to the mother and her girl child.
Details
The "Matritva, Shishu Evam Baalika Madad Yojana" is a scheme launched by the Uttar Pradesh government to provide financial assistance to construction worker women and wives of construction workers in the state during pregnancy and childbirth. The aim of this scheme is to ensure safe and healthy pregnancies and deliveries for women. The objective of the scheme is to provide nutritious food to the newborn babies of eligible beneficiaries working in building and other construction processes from their birth till they complete 02 years of age and to the wives of registered female workers and registered male workers after delivery. Along with this, the objective of the scheme is to create positive thinking in the society towards the birth of girls and to give positive results by encouraging legal system like adult marriage.
Benefits
• Matritva Hitlabh (Maternity benefits)
• Registered male workers: ₹6,000/- lump sum.
• Female workers for institutional delivery: 3 months' minimum wage equivalent + ₹1,000/- medical bonus.
• Female workers for miscarriage: 6 weeks' minimum wage equivalent.
• Female workers for sterilization: 2 weeks' minimum wage equivalent.

• For son: ₹20,000/- lump sum.
• For daughter: ₹25,000/- lump sum.
• For first or second daughter, or legally adopted daughter: ₹25,000/- fixed deposit (matures if unmarried at 18).
• For handicapped daughter: ₹50,000/- fixed deposit (matures if unmarried at 18).
