Under this scheme, cash incentives are provided to pregnant women and their motivators for delivery in government or accredited private hospitals.
Details
The "Janani Suraksha Yojana" was launched by the Department of Public Health and Medical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to promote institutional deliveries among pregnant women to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality by providing cash incentives to women delivering in government and accredited private hospitals, as well as to motivators ASHA workers or family escorts who assist them.
