The “Individual House Construction Component – Beneficiary Led Construction” scheme is a component of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban , implemented by the Nagar Nigam Dehradun under the Department of Urban Development, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to eligible urban families for constructing a pucca house on their own land or for improving their existing kutcha or weak houses.

Benefits
• Under the scheme, a grant of ₹2 lakh is provided to approved beneficiaries in installments, based on the progress of housing construction. Of this amount, ₹50,000/- is provided by the State Government and ₹1,50,000/- by the Government of India.
• As per Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Announcement No. 458/2022, beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) are provided an additional incentive of ₹5,000/- for home decoration upon completion of the house.

Eligibility Criteria

3. The applicant must have been residing in the city from which he/she wishes to receive the benefit on or before 17th June 2015.
4. The applicant, or any member of their family, must not own a house in their name anywhere in India. (Here, a house refers to a habitable unit suitable for all-weather living.)
5. The annual family income must not exceed ₹3 lakh.
6. The applicant must not have received any benefit for residential housing under any other Central, State, or externally aided scheme.
7. The applicant must have a legally owned plot of land or an existing kutcha/weak residential structure on which they wish to construct a pucca house.

• Proof of residence in the city before 17th June 2015 (such as electricity bill, water bill, telephone bill, voter ID, Aadhaar card, ration card, passport, or any other authentic document).
• Bank account in the name of an adult female member of the beneficiary family; in the absence of an adult female member, the account may be in the name of a male member.
• Certified copy of legal land ownership records (Registry/Khasra/Khatauni/Patta, etc.), which should be verified both physically and documentarily.
• Valid Income Certificate or self-declared income on a ₹10 stamp paper.
• Caste certificate, photocopy of BPL card, or disability certificate.
• Notarized affidavit on a ₹10 stamp paper
