Description
The “Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana - Gramin” is a centrally sponsored scheme implemented by the Department of Rural Development, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide pucca houses with basic amenities to eligible rural households in Uttarakhand, ensuring dignified living conditions for economically and socially disadvantaged families.

Benefits
• Under this scheme, selected eligible beneficiaries receive financial assistance of ₹130,000/- for house construction. Beneficiaries are also provided ₹12,000/- for toilet construction under convergence with MGNREGA/Swajal, along with 95 man-days of labour employment from MGNREGA. After the house is completed, the State Government provides an additional ₹6,000/- for purchasing kitchen utensils as per the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s announcement.

1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
2. The selection of eligible beneficiaries for housing is done based on the “Social, Economic and Caste Census 2011 (SECC-2011)” and the Awaas Plus Permanent Waiting List.
