The scheme “Hemoglobinopathy” is an initiative under the National Health Mission NHM implemented by the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide comprehensive care, support, and treatment to patients suffering from Thalassemia and Hemophilia in Uttarakhand.

Benefits
• Under this scheme, free blood filters, chelators, and blood are provided to patients suffering from Thalassemia. Free haemophilia factors (life-saving medicines) are provided to patients suffering from Haemophilia.
