Details The Governing Body of Delhi Arogya Kosh in its 13th meeting held on 28.02.2017 resolved that financial assistance shall be provided for Ultrasound, Doppler Studies, Mammography, EEG, EMG, TMT & ECHO from both non-NABH & NABH ACCREDITED DGEHS EMPANELLED STANDALONE DIAGNOSTIC centres to any eligible patient who is a bonafide resident of Delhi, identified on the basis of Voter ID card; Aadhaar Card; Passport; Driving License; Ration Card; Extract from the electoral roll and Birth Certificate along with identity proof of either parent for children below five years of age , undergoing treatment in any of the 25 Hospitals owned by Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi GNCTD or in any of the 23 polyclinics attached to these hospitals or in any of the 05 hospitals run under autonomous mode by GNCTD

2. Patients with annual family income up to Rs 3 lacs are eligible.
3. The patient should be a bonafide resident of Delhi for the last 3 years ( prior to the date of submission of the application).
4. The patient requiring treatment for any illness/ treatment/ intervention in a Government Hospital run by Delhi Govt. /Central Govt. /AIIMS /Autonomous Institutes of the State Govt. /Local Bodies.

Required Documents
• National Food Security Card for income less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum.
• Income Certificate issued from area SDM (or any other officer authorized on this behalf by the Revenue Department) for income up to Rs. 3 lakhs per annum.
• Domicile Certificate issued from area SDM.
• Ration card.
• EPIC (Voter ID).
• Driving License.
• Passport.
• Extract from the Electoral Roll.
• Aadhar Card.

Q: Is surgery free in Delhi government hospital?
A: To avail benefit of this scheme, patients need to submit their application and relevant documents. After their screening, the government bears the cost of implants and the treatment of the patient up to Rs 5 lakh. It is a cashless scheme

Q: What are the hospitals recognized under the scheme?
A: All health facilities (hospitals/dispensaries) run by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi and autonomous bodies under Delhi Government, local bodies viz. MCD, NDMC, Delhi Cantonment Board, Central Government and other Government bodies, such as AIIMS, Patel Chest Institute ( University of Delhi) etc. are recognized under the scheme. In addition, many Private Hospitals/Diagnostic centers have been empanelled under the scheme

Q: Is treatment free in Delhi government hospital?
A: It is a State Govt. run free hospital. Medicine/Investigations/ Food is provided free of Cost.

Q: Who are eligible for Delhi Arogya Kosh?
A: Patient with annual family income upto Rs 3 lacs are eligible. Patient requiring treatment for any illness/ treatment/ intervention in a Government Hospital run by Delhi Govt. /Central Govt. /AIIMS /Autonomous Institutes of the State Govt. /Local Bodies.

Q: Who to apply ?
A: 1. Download the application form.
2. A Complete application form along with all the requisite documents is processed by the concerned hospital and sent to the Director of General Health Services through e-office for his approval.

Q: What documents are required for verification of INCOME ?
A: Any one of the following
1. National Food Security Card for income less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum.
2. Income Certificate issued from area SDM (or any other officer authorized on this behalf by the Revenue Department) for income up to Rs. 3 lakhs per annum.

Q: What Documents Are Required For DOMICILE for the last 03 years ?
A: Any One Of The Following
1. Domicile Certificate issued from area SDM.
2. Ration card.
3. Voter ID.
4. Driving License.
5. Passport.
6. Extract from the Electoral Roll.
7. Aadhar Card.

Q: What documents are required in case the patient is a minor ?
A: Birth Certificate of the patient and the domicile proof of either of the parent (any one of the aforementioned documents).
