Scheme Overview

The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the self-employed youths belonging to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community in Assam to encourage and initiate self-employment activities. The benefit is financial support for self-employed youth to enhance their capabilities.

Eligibility Criteria

- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.

- The applicant must belong to Tea Tribes and Adivasi community.

- The applicant shall be between 20 to 35 years of age, as on 1st January of the year of application.

- The applicant must be a self-employed youth.

- The applicant must have less than 10 bighas of land in the name of his family.

- Candidates who have successfully completed at least 3 months skills training in the trade shall be given preference.

- Physically Handicapped candidates may also apply and shall be given due weight-age as per Government norms.

Benefits

Financial assistance to the self-employed youths belonging to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community in Assam.

The financial assistance is intended to encourage and initiate self-employment activities and enhance the capabilities of the beneficiaries.

Conditions

The applicant must not have availed such benefit during the last three years.

Only one applicant per family shall be selected for financial assistance.
