Scheme Overview
The Government of Sikkim has introduced the Sikkim Grant of Scholarship to Students with Disabilities Scheme, 2014. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to differently-abled students to help them secure academic education and technical or professional training.
Eligibility Criteria
The student's age should be 5 years and above.
The student must be disabled, with disability percentage of 40% or above as certified by Medical Authorities as defined in section 2 (t) of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995.
The student must be a regular student at a recognized College, University, or School of a recognized Board.
The student should pass the examination in one attempt during a particular academic session, If fails the examination during an academic session are not eligible for the scholarship for the same class in the next academic year.
The student must not be receiving any other similar scholarship from other departments or ministries.
