Description
The scheme “Sagar Khedu Sarvangi Vikas Yojana” was launched by the Energy and Petrochemicals Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to accelerate the process of development in 39 taluks of 15 districts of Sagar Kantha Coastal Area . The scheme aims to resolve the problem of excessive tripping and faults in coastal areas due to corrosion and humidity, ensuring uninterrupted and quality power supply to consumers. The scheme provides improvement of distribution lines, construction of new 66 Kilovolt sub stations, and repair and modernization of transmission lines, along with provisioning 12,000 new agricultural electricity connections. The scheme is implemented by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited GUVNL . The Government provides share capital contributions to the corporation for execution.
