Police Internship Scheme

Description
The "Police Internship Scheme" was launched by the Home Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to familiarize meritorious students with the functioning of the Madhya Pradesh Police Department and to encourage research in policing and law enforcement. Internship Period Selected students are offered a six-week internship opportunity at district police stations, where they gain practical experience in administrative, legal, and investigative procedures.

• Large police stations (in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Gwalior): 2–3 interns

• Internship duration: 6 weeks (June 1–July 12)
• Mode: Full-time, in-person at designated police stations.
• Honorarium:
• The scheme is unpaid. No salary or stipend is provided. Lodging and food arrangements must be made by the interns themselves.
• Disciplinary Provisions:
• No leave is permitted during the internship period. Lack of interest or misconduct may result in termination by the Superintendent of Police.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
2. The applicant should be a student enrolled in a recognized educational institution.
3. The applicant must be between 21 and 26 years of age as of May 1 of the application year.
