The Scheme “Organization of Multi-Purpose Camps/ Public Awareness Camps/ Medical Camps/L egal Service Camps” has been implemented by the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital under the Department of Law, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to organize camps and awareness programs across urban and rural areas to inform and empower vulnerable groups such as women, children, senior citizens, workers in the unorganized sector, persons with disabilities, acid attack survivors and victims of trafficking about their legal rights.

• For the effective implementation of public welfare schemes of the Hon’ble National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), New Delhi, the District Legal Services Authorities, Tehsil Legal Services Committees, and the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority also organize multi-purpose camps, awareness programs, debate competitions, painting competitions, and essay competitions across urban areas and remote rural regions.

1. Individuals, women, and children from all walks of life particularly workers in the unorganized sector, persons with mental illness or disabilities, acid attack survivors, senior citizens, and victims of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation are provided information about their legal rights.
2. Multi-purpose camps are also organized to support the effective implementation of poverty alleviation schemes.
3. These camps are conducted in the presence of representatives from all departments.
