The "World Bank-funded Uttarakhand Drinking Water Programme For Semi-Urban Areas " is a World Bank–funded initiative implemented by the Uttarakhand Peyjal Sansadhan Vikas Evam Nirman Nigam under the Drinking Water Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide affordable and reliable domestic drinking water connections to eligible households in selected semi-urban areas of Uttarakhand, ensuring improved access to safe and adequate drinking water.

• Under this scheme, domestic water connections are provided by depositing a nominal connection fee of ₹1.00 and an application fee of ₹25.00.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The World Bank–funded Uttarakhand Drinking Water Supply Programme for Semi-Urban Areas provides benefits to families residing in selected semi-urban regions of the state.
2. The programme is not applicable in urban areas.

Required Documents
• Two passport-size photographs
• Self-attested photocopy of any one of the following government-issued ID cards (Voter ID card, PAN card, Unique Identity Card, Ration Card with photo, Driving License, Bank Passbook with photo, Passport)
• Self-attested photocopy of the map approved by the relevant development authority, local body, or Gram Sabha (required only for building construction applications)
• Ownership/Occupancy Proof, any of the following (Sale deed, Lease deed, Ownership certificate (fard), Land lease documents)
• Other Supporting Documents, self-attested copies of Voter ID card, Building assessment certificate issued by Municipal Corporation/Municipal Council, Tenant agreement, Ration card, Electricity bill, Nationalized certificate)
• Non-judicial stamp paper of ₹100/-
• Approval letter from the departmentally registered plumber through whom the applicant will commission the work
• Special category certificate if applicable (SC/ST/destitute/landless labourer/military widow/departmental employee)
• Any other supporting documents as required
