Overview
A scheme by MoST for female candidates with a break in their career interested in addressing societal challenges through viable S&T interventions. 1-year training is provided in Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), patent search, know-how, drafting, filing, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright.

A scheme by MoST for female candidates with a break in their career interested in addressing societal challenges through viable S&T interventions. 1-year training is provided in Intellectual Property Rights IPRs , patent search, know-how, drafting, filing, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright, in association with various Knowledge Partners i.e. Law firms, Knowledge Processing Organizations KPOs , Companies, Government agencies, and so on . The scheme is being implemented by the Patent Facilitating Centre of Technology Information Forecasting & Assessment Council TIFAC . Minimum essential qualifications are Master of Science; Bachelors in Engineering/Technology or equivalent. Proficiency in handling computerized databases, collection, collation, analysis, and report preparation is desirable.
Exclusions
• Women in permanent position are not eligible to apply.

Class of City (HRA and Cities Classification)
as per 7th Central Pay Commission relating to grant of House Rent Allowance (HRA).
Benefits
• ₹ 35,000/- per month for Ph.D. in Basic or Applied Sciences/MD or equivalent degree.
• ₹ 30,000/- per month for M.Phil / M.Tech / M.Pharm / M.VSc or equivalent degree.
• ₹ 25,000/- per month for M.Sc in Basic or Applied Sciences / MBBS / B.Tech or equivalent degree.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be a female.
2. The applicant must have a break in her career.
3. The age of the applicant must be between 27 and 45 years.
4. Minimum Educational Qualification must be either Master of Science or Bachelors in Engineering / Technology or equivalent.

Q: What would be the mode of payment of the scholarship?
A: The payment of the scholarship will be through DBT.

A: You need to be an Indian citizen in order to apply for this scheme.
Q: I Am 24 Years In Age. Can I Apply For The Scheme?
A: Women scientists, less than 27 years of age are not eligible.
Q: I Have Undergone Partial Training In 2016 Batch But I Need To Apply Again. Can I Do So?
A: Those who have already undergone training (partially or fully) in any of the earlier batches or those who are undergoing training in the ongoing batch are not eligible to apply.
Q: Is there a minimum qualification in order to be eligible for this scheme?
