Description
The "Swayam Saksham Yojana" is implemented by the Gujarat Thakor and Koli Vikas Nigam GTKVN under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to promote economic self-reliance among professionally educated unemployed youth both men and women from the Thakor and Koli communities, aged between 18 and 35 years, who hold degrees in fields such as Pharmacy, Architecture, Software/Hardware, Automobile Engineering, Law, Chartered Accountancy, and others. Under this scheme, financial assistance in the form of low-interest loans is provided to eligible beneficiaries who have completed higher professional education and wish to become self-reliant by starting their own business in their respective fields. It specifically supports individuals trained in professional fields like medicine, law, engineering, accounting, hotel management, and even wrestling or sculpture, to use their skills for gainful self-employment.

• Interest Rate:

• Contribution Split:
• 95% of the business/project cost is covered under the scheme as a loan.
• 5% contribution must be made by the beneficiary.

• Repayable in 60 equal monthly installments (maximum 5 years).
• The repayment period depends on the nature of the business plan.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.
2. The applicant should belong to the Thakor or Koli caste/community.
3. The applicant should be between 18 and 35 years of age on the date of application.
4. The applicant should have technical/professional education or experience in the field of business/trade.
5. The applicant should be unemployed and looking to start a self-employment unit.
6. The applicant family’s annual income should not exceed ₹3,00,000/-.
7. The applicant should have completed professional education in areas such as Medical, Law, Architecture, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, Hotel Management, Software/Hardware, Financial Consultancy, Sculpture or Wrestling (with training) etc.
