A general loan scheme by the Ministry of Social Justice for Indian citizens from backward classes for various income-generating activities. Loan up to ₹15 Lakh per beneficiary for pursuing income-generating activities such as Agriculture and Allied Activities, Small Business/Artisan & Traditional Occupation, Transport Sector & Service Sector, and Technical & Professional Trades/Courses.

Benefits
• Loan up to ₹15 Lakh per beneficiary for pursuing income generating activities such as Agriculture and Allied Activities, Small Business/Artisan & Traditional Occupation, Transport Sector & Service Sector, and Technical & Professional Trades/Courses.
• The rate of interest would be as follows - Loan up to ₹ 5.00 Lakh: 6% per annum; Loan above ₹5.00 Lakh up to ₹ 10.00 Lakh: 7% per annum; Loan above ₹10.00 Lakh up to ₹ 15.00 Lakh: 8% per annum.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be an Entrepreneur
2. The applicant must be from a Backward Class (OBC).
3. The Total Annual Family Income of the applicant must be Less than ₹ 3 Lakh per Annum.

Required Documents
• Proof of Identity (Aadhaar card)
• Relevant Caste Certificate to be issued by the relevant authority of District Administration.
• Passport size Photograph of the applicant
• Following certifications to establish the income criteria can be used by the applicant -
• Certificate of Income issued by Competent Authority of State Government/Distt. Administration or Antyodaya Anna Yojana(AAY) Card or Below Poverty Line (BPL) Card.
• Annual family income certificate may be considered by the SCAs/Banks/SSCs on self-certification of the beneficiaries with the endorsement of the same by any Gazetted Officer notified by State/Central Government.
• In case of the loan being applied at the Bank (Channel Partner), Self-Certification assessed and endorsed by the Branch Manager can be used for providing the loan.
• For Landless agricultural labor, marginalized farmers (those with up to One-hectare land holding) and small farmers (those with up to Two hectares of land holding), as assessed by the Banks through their standard processes and belonging to the Backward Classes will be automatically treated as part of the target group as per following considerations:-

Q: What is the maximum size of the loan under this scheme?
A: Under this scheme, the eligible entrepreneur can obtain a loan of max. [?]15,00,000 per beneficiary.
Q: How much will be the interest rate for the loan?
A: The rate of interest would be as follows -
Loan up to [?] 5.00 Lakh: 6% per annum

Q: By when am I expected to repay the loan?
A: Loan is to be repaid in quarterly instalments with maximum 8 years (including the moratorium period of six months on the recovery of principal).
Q: I seek to know more about the Pattern of Financing?
A: The loan will be provided up to 85% and balance 15% provided by the State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs) or Beneficiary contribution. The utilization period is 4 months from the date of disbursement of the loan.
Q: Can women entrepreneurs also apply to this scheme?
A: Yes, the scheme is open for income generating activities. Women entrepreneurs are therefore eligible to apply.
Q: Should the project / venture need to be from a specific sector in order to be eligible for the Swarnima scheme?
A: NBCFDC supports the economically weaker section in developing self-employment ventures only under the following sectors:
Agriculture and Allied Activities.
Small Business.
Artisan and Traditional Occupation.
Technical and Professional Trades/Courses.
Transport and Service Sector.

A: Ans. NBCFDC grants financial assistance through State Channelising Agencies (SCAs). Also, they provide funding through SCAs/ Self Help Groups (SHGs).
