The “Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen - Waste Management ” is a centrally sponsored scheme implemented by the State Water and Sanitation Mission, Uttarakhand Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Mission Swajal Project under the Drinking Water Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote sustainable solid and liquid waste management in rural Uttarakhand by providing necessary infrastructure and facilities to ensure cleaner villages, improved sanitation, and better public health.
