Scheme Overview
The scheme aims to provide access to high quality education to students from Scheduled Caste communities in best private residential schools. It provides scholarships and bridge courses to meritorious Scheduled Caste students selected through national entrance test.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must belong to Scheduled Caste community.
- The applicant must be studying in recognized schools - Private or Government or Local Body schools.
- The income of the parents of the applicant must not exceed ₹2,50,000/- per year.
- The applicant seeking admission in Class 9th must have passed Class 8th in the academic year immediately preceding the year of admission.
- The applicant seeking admission in Class 11th must have passed Class 10th in the academic year immediately preceding the year of admission.
- The applicant must qualify in National Entrance Test for SHRESHTA conducted by National Testing Agency.

Benefits
School fee including tuition fee and hostel fee including mess charges as per following limits:
Class 9th: ₹1,00,000/- per student per annum.
Class 10th: ₹1,10,000/- per student per annum.
Class 11th: ₹1,25,000/- per student per annum.
Class 12th: ₹1,35,000/- per student per annum.
Up to 10% of annual fee provided separately for bridge course extending up to 3 months.
Direct transfer to school accounts through e-Anudaan portal.
Within 30 days from date of confirmation of admission on Information Technology portal.
Automatic Progression: Students admitted in Class 9 or 11 shall automatically be funded for next classes till they complete 12th class.
Bridge Course: Conducted outside school hours covering academic topics and personality development.
Counsellor Support: Schools designate one teacher as counsellor to resolve difficulties faced by students.
Future Connectivity: Students may be connected to Post Matric Scholarship Scheme or Top-Class Education Scheme for further studies.
*The applicant must pass the exams of the previous class to continue receiving funding for subsequent years.
*The applicant must maintain enrollment in the assigned SHRESHTA school.
*If student leaves after admission and payment of fee, it must be brought to notice of Central Government immediately and fees paid should be refunded to Consolidated Fund of India.
