In Madhya Pradesh, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential School Scheme for Boys (Class 1-8) Introduce by the School Education Department. It aims to ensure primary education and reduce the gender gap in education. Free residence, food, clothing, books, uniforms, and medical care are provided.
Eligibility Criteria
Boys who have dropped out of school because a middle school is not available within a 3 km radius or a high school/higher secondary school is not available within a 5 km radius of their village.
Boys who are identified as (Classes 1-8):
- School Dropouts
- Out-of-School/Non-enrolled
- Destitute/Homeless
- Orphans
- Single-Parent Children
- Divyang (Physically disabled/Orthopedically handicapped)
Boys identified as school dropouts and out-of-school shall be admitted to the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential Hostel.
Children from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Ashram Schools that are at the primary level may also be admitted to the hostel.
Local resident boys shall not be admitted to the hostel.
