Scheme Overview
Under the scheme, financial assistance shall be provided to registered construction workers for their own marriage. This assistance shall also be sanctioned for the marriage of all adult children of a worker subject to production of proper documentation such as Marriage Certificates etc.
Eligibility Criteria
The beneficiary should be a resident of Meghalaya.
The beneficiary should be engaged in a building or other construction work.
The beneficiary should be registered under the Meghalaya Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
The workers having continuous membership for 3 years shall be eligible to get financial assistance under the scheme.
The registered workers can apply for financial assistance for their own marriage. A registered worker can avail of this assistance once only.
The registered workers can apply for financial assistance for the marriage of all their adult children, subject to the production of proper documentation such as Marriage Certificates, etc.
Benefits
The financial assistance of ₹5,000/- shall be given to the registered workers for their own marriage.
