Scheme Overview

The scheme aims to increase the income and raise the living standards of tribal women beneficiaries. Through this scheme, financial assistance is provided for setting up goat units.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must be a tribal woman beneficiary.

The applicant's age must be between 18 and 60 years.

The applicant must be a tribal woman livestock keeper residing in Scheduled Areas, Pockets, and Clusters within tribal districts.

The applicant must be a Below Poverty Line (BPL) tribal woman livestock keeper with a BPL score between 0 and 20.

Only one person per family will receive the benefit under this scheme.

The scheme's benefit is ration card-based, meaning only one woman beneficiary per ration card can receive the benefit.

The applicant can avail the benefit of this scheme again after 10 years.

The following priority order will be given for beneficiary selection:

Primitive Tribal Group (PVTG) livestock keeper women beneficiaries.

Tribal livestock keeper women beneficiaries holding Forest Rights Act (FRA) entitlement letters.

Other tribal livestock keeper women beneficiaries, with the following sub-priority:

- Disabled tribal women.

- Widowed or divorced tribal women.

- BPL tribal women livestock keeper beneficiaries with the lowest score among those with a 0 to 20 BPL score.

Benefits

Financial assistance is provided for setting up goat units, specifically 10 goats and 1 male goat.

The assistance amount is 50% of the total unit cost or a maximum of ₹45,000/-, whichever is less.
