Description
The scheme "Goat Rearing Scheme" by the Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to increase the income of tribal women beneficiaries and improve their living standards. Under the State's Scheduled Tribe Sub-Scheme, an assistance scheme for setting up goat units 10 goats + 1 male goat for tribal women beneficiaries is in effect, in which assistance is paid to the beneficiaries' bank accounts through DBT for purchasing goat units for tribal women. The scheme is implemented by the Development Support Agency of Gujarat D-SAG .

Benefits
• Financial assistance is provided for setting up goat units, specifically 10 goats and 1 male goat.
• The assistance amount is 50% of the total unit cost or a maximum of ₹45,000/-, whichever is less.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be a tribal woman beneficiary.
2. The applicant&#39;s age must be between 18 and 60 years.
3. The applicant must be a tribal woman livestock keeper residing in Scheduled Areas, Pockets, and Clusters within tribal districts.
4. The applicant must be a Below Poverty Line (BPL) tribal woman livestock keeper with a BPL score between 0 and 20.
5. Only one person per family will receive the benefit under this scheme.
6. The scheme&#39;s benefit is ration card-based, meaning only one woman beneficiary per ration card can receive the benefit.
7. The applicant can avail the benefit of this scheme again after 10 years.

16. - BPL tribal women livestock keeper beneficiaries with the lowest score among those with a 0 to 20 BPL score.
