The "Craftsman Training Scheme" provides vocational training to individuals, enhancing their skill & employability. This stipend aims to support the trainees financially & encourage them to pursue & complete their vocational training, thereby contributing to skilled manpower development in the state

Description
The "Craftsman Training Scheme" was launched by the Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Maharashtra. This stipend aims to support the trainees financially and encourage them to pursue and complete their vocational training, thereby contributing to skilled manpower development in the state.

Benefits
• Stipend ₹500/- per month.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should be a resident of Maharashtra state.
2. The applicant should belong to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Freed Castes and Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Special Backward Classes, Minority Communities and Open Category economically backward
3. The annual income of parents should not exceed ₹8,00,000/-.
4. Only two siblings within a family are eligible for this benefit.
5. The trainee should maintain an average of 80% attendance.
6. The trainee should be passing the first year to enroll in a 2-year trade.
7. SC trainees with an annual income of less than ₹2,50,000/- are also eligible for the Post Matric Scholarship.
8. Trainees suspended or found non-eligible for the All India Trade Test (AITT) will not qualify.
9. Trainees who have left the GITI are not eligible from their date of departure.
10. Trainees in PITI are ineligible for this scheme.

A: The deadline will be announced by the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training. Trainees should regularly check the MahaDBT portal for updates.

Q: Can trainees from private ITIs apply for this stipend?
A: No, the stipend is only for trainees enrolled in Government ITIs under the Artisan Training Scheme.

Q: Will the stipend amount be revised in the future?
A: The stipend amount may be revised based on government decisions and policy changes.
