Description
The scheme “Very Dense Apple Plantation Scheme” is implemented by the Department of Horticulture, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to promote intensive apple cultivation among farmers by establishing modern orchards with high-yielding varieties and providing financial assistance through a 60% subsidy on saplings, thereby enhancing productivity and increasing farmers’ income.

Benefits
• Under this scheme, farmers will be provided with a 60% subsidy for establishing orchards of the latest apple varieties. The subsidy is structured as follows: 900 saplings per acre (₹12.36 lakh) for M-9, 540 saplings per acre (₹7.86 lakh) for MM-111, and 440 saplings per acre (₹3.34 lakh) for seedlings.
• The subsidy will be calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the number of very dense apple orchards and saplings actually established by the applicant.
