The “Uttarakhand Rajya Shilp Ratna Puraskar” is implemented by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises MSMEs Department under the Department of Industries, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to honour exceptionally skilled artisans of the state for their outstanding contributions to the traditional craft sector.
Benefits
• Every year, 25 artisans from the state of Uttarakhand are honored with the "Uttarakhand Rajya Shilp Ratna Puraskar."
• Each selected outstanding artisan receives a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, along with a memento (symbolic representation), an angavastra (ceremonial stole) and a certificate of appreciation.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
2. The applicant must be a skilled artisan.
3. The applicant must be at least 45 years of age.
4. The applicant must be proficient in traditional or extraordinary art forms and has made unprecedented contribution in the field of traditional crafts.
5. The artisans must have contributed to the training of young artisans.
6. The applicant must have at least 15 years of experience in a recognized traditional craft.
7. The applicant must not be employed in government/semi-government/cooperative institution/union.
