Scheme Overview
The scheme “Uttam Pashu Puraskar Yojana” was launched by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Himachal Pradesh to provide incentives and encouragement to livestock Owners for rearing good quality high yielding animals.
Eligibility Criteria
The beneficiary should be a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh.
The beneficiary/livestock owner of Cattle/Buffaloes giving 15 liters or more milk per day is eligible to apply under the scheme.

Benefits
Livestock owners of Cattle/Buffaloes giving 15 liters or more milk per day will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1000/- per Cow/Buffalo.
The prize will be admissible to a maximum of two animals per farmer.
Prizes will be transferred to the bank account of the selected owners.
