Description
The sub-scheme “Subsidy for Purchase of Motorcycle Pilot ” is a component of the “Tribals Development Plan” launched by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa. This component aims to enhance income generation and self-employment opportunities among the Scheduled Tribe ST families residing in Goa. The scheme extends an additional subsidy of ₹15,000/- from the Directorate of Social Welfare DSW to eligible beneficiaries, along with provisions for training under the Transport sector of the umbrella plan. This scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Social Welfare through coordination with District Rural Development Agencies DRDA , and applications are accepted offline through departmental offices.

Eligibility Criteria
1. - The applicant must belong to one of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities notified in Goa, i.e. Gawda, Velip, or Kunbi.
2. - The applicant must be a resident of Goa.
3. - The applicant’s annual family income must be less than ₹1,20,000/-.
4. - The applicant must be part of a tribal household identified under the Tribals Development Plan.
5. - The applicant’s family must fall under either:
6. (a) the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, or
7. (b) the non-BPL category with annual income &lt; ₹1,20,000/-.
8. - Only one member per family is eligible for assistance under this component.
