Scheme Overview
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to facilitate community level action for agriculture growth and management of natural resources. It offers financial assistance, wages for personnel, and funding for necessary office equipment for Tribal Farmers Co-operative.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a Tribal Farmers' Cooperative Organization.
- The Cooperative must be registered under the Goa Co-operative Societies Act, 2001.
- The objective of the Cooperative must be to improve productivity and/or to market the farm or forest produce.

Benefits
Wages of one resource person (Diploma in Agriculture) and one peon at the rates fixed under the Minimum Wages Act.
A fixed amount of ₹25,000/- per annum for incurring expenditure on stationery, printing, etc..
Rent reimbursement for office space, subject to limits: Minimum limit of ₹8,000/- per month for urban areas; Minimum limit of ₹5,000/- per month for rural areas.
The aforementioned rent will be enhanced accordingly @10% on the actual rent fixed after every three years.
One-time financial assistance of ₹1,00,000/- for the procurement of a Desktop Computer, Uninterruptible Power Supply, computer table, cupboard, table, and chairs, etc.
The amount is disbursed in two installments.
The first installment shall be 50% of the total sanctioned amount.
The balance amount is disbursed only upon submission of a utilization certificate duly verified by the Zonal Agriculture Officer.
For availing the benefit for the subsequent year, the farmer co-operative shall submit an annual performance report. This report must be verified, signed, and recommended by the concerned Zonal Agriculture Officer.
If the farmer co-operative fails to submit the annual performance report, the succeeding year benefit shall be kept on hold until the report is submitted.
Wages for the resource person and peon shall be paid by the Directorate of Tribal Welfare on a monthly basis upon submission of attendance by the farmer Co-operatives.
