Description
The "Shagun Scheme& 39;& 39; by the BOCW Welfare Board, Department of Labour, Punjab, is a welfare scheme for the registered workers of the board. Under this scheme, the Board shall provide financial assistance for the marriage of up to two daughters of registered workmen, including daughters who are registered beneficiaries. It& 39;s applicable only once per daughter, excluding second marriages. If the girl is herself registered member, she can also avail Shagun for her own marriage under this scheme

Eligibility Criteria

2. - The applicant should be a resident of Punjab.
3. - The applicant should be a Building/ Construction Worker (Unorganised Worker).
4. - The applicant should be between 18 and 60 years.
5. - The applicant should have engaged in building and construction work for at least 90 days in a given year.
6. - The applicant should have a monthly income of ₹15,000/- or below.
7. - The applicant should not be a member of any other Welfare Fund established under any law.
8. - The applicant should not have membership of the Employees&amp;#39; Provident Fund (EPF)/ National Pension System (NPS)/ Employees&amp;#39; State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).
9. - The applicant should not be an income tax payer.

11. - The applicant should be a registered member/female member (for self-marriage) of the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board or an unmarried daughter of the member.
