The "Scheme to Provide Electric Scooter to Disabled Person" is a welfare scheme by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Gujarat. The scheme aims to promote mobility and independence for orthopedically disabled individuals in Gujarat by offering a financial subsidy. The beneficiary can purchase an electric scooter through an agency approved by JEDA. Eligibility Criteria
1. - The applicant must be a resident of Gujarat.
2. - The applicant must be between 18 to 50 years of age.
3. - The applicant must have an orthopedic disability of 40% or more, certified by a civil surgeon.
4. - The applicant must possess a Disability Identity Card issued by the Social Security Department.
5. - The applicant must be listed in the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category with a score of 0 to 20.
6. - The applicant must not have already availed benefits under this scheme in the last five years, unless the previously allotted electric scooter is damaged and the applicant remains otherwise eligible.
7. - The applicant must purchase the electric scooter from an agency approved by JEDA at the government-approved price.
8. **Note:** The applicant will be given priority if their name appears in the SECC-2011 (Socio-Economic Caste Census) data.
