Scheme Overview
The scheme provides financial assistance to registered Gaushalas for rearing purebred Gir or Kankrej male cow calves with high genetic quality to promote pure breeding in indigenous cattle.
Eligibility Criteria
A Gram Panchayat or a Gaushala registered must be registered under the Charity Act.
The Gram Panchayat or a Gaushala must have a minimum of 100 breedable cows.
**Note:** If there is not sufficient number of breeding cows in a single village, then the breeding cows of the neighboring villages should be covered and a guarantee should be given.
Benefits
In Case the bull is provided by the Board: ₹1,18,000/- in the first year.
In Case the bull is purchased by the organization: ₹1,43,000/- in the first year.
Maintenance support: ₹64,800/- for the second and third year.
