The aim of the scheme is to encourage and support high-quality research in Sanskrit by providing financial assistance to meritorious Ph.D. students across state universities.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
The applicant must be a student registered for a Ph.D. in Sanskrit at any university in Uttarakhand.
The applicant must belong to the General, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Economically Weaker Section.
A total of 20 research scholars are eligible for the scholarship, including 10 from the General category, 5 from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and 5 from Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate holders.
Selection will be based on the highest marks obtained in the NET examination.

A research scholarship of ₹40,000/- per year is awarded to 20 students registered for a Ph.D. in Sanskrit at universities across Uttarakhand.
The scholarship is provided for a period of three years at ₹40,000/- per year and must be renewed by submitting an application each year/semester.
