Overview
Under the scheme, a member of the fund who has been working as a building worker for not less than one year after the commencement of these rules shall on completion of sixty years of age be eligible for the person.
Details
The scheme “Pension Plan” is a social security scheme, implemented by the Meghalaya Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board MBOCWWB , Labour Department, Government of Meghalaya. Under the scheme, a member of the fund who has been working as a building worker for not less than one year after the commencement of these rules shall on completion of sixty years of age be eligible for a person. The Pension will become payable from the 60 years of the succeeding to the month in which he completed 60 years of age.
Benefits
• Under the scheme, the registered worker who has been working as a building worker for not less than one year shall receive an amount of ₹1,000/- per mensem as pension.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The beneficiary should be a resident of Meghalaya.
2. The beneficiary should be engaged in a building or other construction work.
3. The beneficiary should be registered under the Meghalaya Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
4. The registered workers who have been working as building workers for not less than one year shall be eligible to receive pension benefits under the scheme.
5. The registered worker shall become eligible to avail pension benefits upon attaining the age of 60 years.

• Age proof of concerned building worker/applicant i.e. School certificate, Certificate from the Registrar of Birth and Deaths, Certificate from the Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon in Government Service, Electoral Photo Identity Card
• Nomination Form duly signed by the applicant
• Self-declaration towards non-enrolment as a member of any other welfare fund/ board
• SC/ST Certificate (if applicable)
