The "National Family Benefit Scheme" is a centrally sponsored scheme implemented by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to Below Poverty Line BPL families upon the death of the primary breadwinner main earning member of the family , helping them cope with immediate financial hardships.

Benefits
• A one-time financial assistance of ₹20,000/- is provided to the family in the event of the death of the primary earning member.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be a family member of the deceased primary breadwinner.
2. The deceased primary breadwinner must have been a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
