The scheme “Mukhyamantri Udeeyman Khiladi Unnayan Chhatravriti Yojana” was launched by the Department of Sports, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote sports among talented children aged 8 to 14 years in Uttarakhand by providing monthly scholarships.

• Under this scheme, players aged 8 to 14 years are selected every year on the basis of the Physical and Sports Aptitude Test (P-SAT).
• From each district, 150 boys and 150 girls are selected (25 boys and 25 girls from each age group: 8–9 years, 9–10 years, 10–11 years, 11–12 years, 12–13 years, and 13–14 years).
• Each selected player is awarded a scholarship of ₹1,500/- per month for one year.

1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
2. The applicant must be a boy or girl between 8 and 14 years of age.
3. The boy or girl who obtain the highest marks based on merit in the final district-level competition, conducted through various stages of the Physical and Sports Aptitude Test (P-SAT) assessing physical abilities such as strength, flexibility, endurance, speed, and coordination, will be eligible for the sports scholarship.
