Benefits
Packed silage and complete mixed animal feed are prepared by blending nutrients with green maize and are made available to cattle rearers in the remote rural and hilly areas of Uttarakhand at the rate of ₹2.75 per kg.
Under the scheme, a 75% subsidy is provided on the selling price of silage, which is ₹9.00 per kg, and the State Government also provides financial assistance of ₹3.00 per kg towards expenses such as loading, transportation, and handling. As a result, silage is made available to beneficiaries at a subsidized rate of ₹2.75 per kg.
