The "Maternity Support Scheme" by the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Labour Department, Jammu & Kashmir, provides financial assistance of ₹16,000/- as maternity allowance, payable in two installments. Only registered construction workers or their wives are eligible to receive the benefits under this scheme.

Benefits
• First Installment: ₹4,000 for registration of pregnancy in the first trimester.
• Second Installment: ₹12,000 for:
• Delivery in government or authorized non-government hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat "Niramayam" program for pregnancy and delivery-related high-risk packages.
• Registration of newborns after institutional birth.
• Early breastfeeding of babies.
• BCG, OPV, and Hep B vaccination for the infant.

Eligibility Criteria
