The scheme “Maternity Benefit” was started by the Assam Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board A.B.O.C.W.W.B , Labour Welfare Department, Government of Assam. Under this scheme, financial assistance shall be given to the registered women beneficiaries as maternity benefits during the period of maternity. This benefit shall be allowed twice only.

• The registered woman beneficiary shall be given ₹20,000/- each as maternity benefit during the period of maternity.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should be a permanent resident of Assam.
2. The applicant should be a woman worker.
3. The applicant should be engaged in any building & other construction work.
4. The construction worker should be registered with the Assam Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
5. The applicant should have an active membership with the Board.
6. The benefit under this scheme shall be given for the birth of two children only.
