The “Labour Card and Renewal of Labour Card” facilities is implemented by the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board UKBOCWWB under the Labour Department, Government of Uttarakhand. Under this scheme, a labour card is issued to workers engaged in construction, repair, maintenance, and other construction works such as bridges, roads, airstrips, etc.

• The labour card is mandatory to avail the benefits of all schemes offered by the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
• The labour card also be used as an identification document for building and construction workers.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
2. The applicant must be a worker engaged in construction, repair, maintenance, or related activities involving government and non-government buildings, as well as other construction works such as bridges, roads, airstrips, irrigation projects, water drainage systems, embankments, tunnels, flood control structures, power generation, transmission and distribution, water works, oil and gas installations, dams, canals, reservoirs, pipelines, towers, television towers, mobile/telephone towers, etc.
3. The workers under MNREGA (such as labourers, masons, electricians, plumbers, etc.) and other construction workers are also eligible.
4. The applicant must be between 18 and 60 years of age.
5. The applicant must possess a certificate confirming that they have worked as a construction or other related worker for at least 90 days in the previous year.

• Proof of having worked as a construction worker for at least 90 days in the previous year
• Aadhaar card of worker and dependents
• Ration card
• Aadhaar-linked bank account details
