Description
Launched in 2006-07, the scheme "INDIRAMMA Weavers Pension Urban " by the Department of Rural Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh, aims to provide financial assistance to destitute weavers aged 50 years or above. To be eligible, they should be from a BPL family, be a resident of a district of Andhra Pradesh, and not be covered under any other Pension Scheme. The eligible individuals will be identified by their respective Ward Sabhas. The Bill Collector disburses the pension to the eligible individuals on the first date of every month.

Offline
The Bill Collector sends Ward Sabha resolution recommending eligible persons to the Municipal Commissioner. The Municipal Commissioner scrutinizes eligibility and sanctions pensions based on municipality-wise allocation.

Step 3: Step 3: Disbursement of Pensions

The Project Director (DRDA) sends pension acquittance list and funds to Municipal Commissioners. The Municipal Commissioner issues cheques to Bill Collectors. The Bill Collector disburses pensions to pensioners in the presence of Ward members and DWCUA office bearers.
