Launched on 15th August 1995, the scheme "Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme IGNDPS " is a pension scheme by the Social Welfare Department, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The scheme provides ₹1,000/- per month to BPL individuals aged 18 to 79 who have severe or multiple disabilities. Launched under the National Social Assistance Programme NSAP , the scheme aims to ensure social justice by providing financial support to the most vulnerable sections of society, fulfilling the Directive Principles of State Policy.
