The Uttarakhand film policy - 2024 “Grant to Films” is implemented by the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Uttarakhand. The policy aims to promote film production in Uttarakhand by providing financial grants to films, TV serials, and web series shot in the state, encouraging filmmakers to showcase Uttarakhand’s culture, heritage, and locations, and boosting local employment and the state& 39;s film economy.

Benefits
• Under the provisions of the Uttarakhand Film Policy–2024, grants are provided as follows:
• For films made in regional languages and dialects, a grant of 50% of the amount spent in the state or up to ₹2 crore, whichever is lower, will be provided.
• For films made in Hindi or in the languages listed in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution, a grant of 30% of the amount spent in the state or up to ₹3 crore, whichever is lower, will be provided.
• For films made in foreign languages that have incurred an expenditure of at least ₹3 crore in the state, and in which the shooting locations of the state have been appropriately showcased, a grant will be provided of 50% of the amount spent in the state or up to ₹3 crore, whichever is lower.
• For TV serials or web series produced in Hindi or in the languages listed in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution, as well as in the regional dialects of Uttarakhand, a grant will be provided of either 30% of the amount spent in Uttarakhand during the shooting period or up to ₹3 crore, whichever is lower.
