Overview
Under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹5,000/- shall be provided to nominees or dependents of deceased registered construction workers, towards funeral expenses.
Details
The scheme “Funeral Benefit” is a social security scheme, implemented by the Meghalaya Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board MBOCWWB , Labour Department, Government of Meghalaya. Under the scheme, financial assistance shall be provided to nominees or dependents of deceased registered construction workers, towards funeral expenses.

• Under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹5,000/- shall be given to nominees or dependents of deceased registered construction workers, towards funeral expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should be a legal nominee or dependent of deceased worker.
2. The deceased worker should have been a resident of Meghalaya.
3. The deceased worker should have been engaged in any building or other construction work.
4. The deceased worker should have been registered under the Meghalaya Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
5. The financial assistance shall be given to nominees or dependents of deceased registered workers, towards funeral expenses.
