Description
The scheme "Funeral Assistance Scheme for Unorganized Workers Except Construction Workers ", launched by the Gujarat Rural Workers Welfare Board, Labour & Employment Department Government of Gujarat, aims to provide financial assistance to the heirs of deceased unorganized sector workers to help with funeral expenses and last rites, addressing the financial burden faced by families during such distressing times. The scheme provides a one-time financial assistance of ₹10,000/- to one heir of the deceased worker and is specifically designed for e-Shram card holders in the unorganized sector. The applicant must be an heir of an e-Shram card holder except e-Nirman card holders and Scheduled Caste individuals and must have an annual income within specified limits of ₹1,20,000/- for rural areas and ₹1,50,000/- for urban areas. The scheme is implemented by the Labour & Employment Department Government of Gujarat and applications for this scheme are accepted offline through designated government labour offices.

Exclusions
• The applicant must not be a construction worker or e-Nirman card holder.
• The applicant must not belong to Scheduled Caste category (as they are covered under separate scheme by Social Justice and Empowerment Department).
• The applicant must not have received assistance from any other similar scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
1. - The applicant must be an heir of a deceased e-Shram card holder from the unorganized sector.

3. - The applicant must apply within 3 (three) months from the date of death of the deceased worker.
4. - The deceased worker must have between 16 to 70 years of age at the time of death.
5. - The applicant must have an annual income not exceeding ₹1,20,000/- (One Lakh Twenty Thousand Rupees), if residing in rural areas.
6. - The applicant must have an annual income not exceeding ₹1,50,000/- (One Lakh Fifty Thousand Rupees), if residing in urban areas.
7. - Only one heir per deceased worker is eligible to receive the assistance.
