The scheme “Financial Assistance/Pension to Former Renowned Sportspersons” was launched by the Department of Sports, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide monthly financial assistance in the form of a pension to former renowned sportspersons of Uttarakhand who are above 50 years of age and are financially weak.

Benefits
• Under this scheme, financially weak former renowned sportspersons of the state are provided a lifelong monthly pension, with a minimum of ₹4,000/- and a maximum of ₹10,000/-.
