The "Children's Drawing and Painting Competition", organised by the Art, Culture and Museums Department, Goa, aims to encourage creativity and artistic expression among Goan children and to develop a healthy competitive spirit at a young age. The competition is held annually at the Taluka level on Children's Day 14th November or another suitable date at venues decided by Kala Academy. Winners from the Taluka level qualify for the State Level Competition. Children are grouped into four categories: Category A: 1st to 4th Std Primary Category B: 5th to 7th Std Middle School Category C: 8th to 10th Std High School Category D: 11th & 12th Std Higher Secondary
